Proper surface preparation is crucial for a successful plaster application. If not done correctly, the plaster may not adhere properly to the wall, leading to defects.
Surface Preparation Steps:
Cleaning:
• Dust, dirt, grease, oil, and other residues on the surface should be cleaned with a brush or broom.
• Loose particles on the surface should be scraped and removed.
• If present, moss and mold should be cleaned with appropriate cleaning agents.
• Cracks and holes on the surface should be filled with suitable repair mortar.
• Sharp edges and corners on the surface should be rounded.
Repair:
• Cracks and holes in the wall should be filled with suitable repair mortar.
• Loose plaster pieces on the wall should be scraped and removed, and new plaster should be applied in their place.
• Uneven and rough areas on the wall should be smoothed with sandpaper.
Primer Application:
• The primer helps the plaster adhere better to the wall.
• The primer can be applied with a brush, roller, or spray.
• The primer should be left to dry completely for at least 24 hours.
Moistening:
Moistening the wall is important to help the plaster adhere better.
• The wall should be dampened with water or wiped with a damp cloth.
• Care should be taken not to over-wet the wall.
Temperature and Weather Conditions:
• During plaster application, the air temperature should be above +5°C.
• Application is not recommended in rainy or humid weather conditions.
• It is not recommended to apply plaster to walls exposed to direct sunlight.

PRASIVA®700 ready plaster is mixed with a mixing machine (8-9 Lt. water, 25 Kg. bag) and applied to the surface with a trowel. Special aluminium gauge profiles should be used for a smooth plaster. Corner profiles should be used to prevent corner breaks. Cement Based Hand Plaster applied in horizontal strips between two panels is gauged with special aluminium gauge profiles. When the plaster hardens sufficiently (when it reaches a shape that will not be pitted when pressed with a finger), the surface is trowelled. The surface is completed with a damp sponge. Application thickness is between 1 cm and 2,5 cm in a single layer. If the thickness is more than 2,5 cm, the second coat is applied with a maximum thickness of 2-2,5 cm after the first coat has set.

• No foreign materials (lime, cement, gypsum, etc.) should be added to the prepared mortar.
• Expired mortar should not be mixed with water or dry mortar and reused.
• The full curing process should be completed, as the material may not reach its maximum strength before it fully hardens.
• All tools used during application should be washed with water before drying.

• Hands and skin that have come into contact with the material should be cleaned immediately.
• It is recommended to apply the material at a temperature between +5°C and +35°C.
• Protect from rapid drying in windy conditions.
• Do not apply on frozen surfaces.
• Do not apply under direct sunlight.
• Do not exceed the specified application area and usage instructions.
• During application in enclosed spaces, ensure proper ventilation to prevent inhalation of chemical vapors.
• Use gloves, protective goggles, and a mask to avoid exposure to material dust and chemicals.
• Do not inhale directly. In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice if necessary.
