Silicone Paint Primer

Exterior silicone paint primer is a water-based, silicone-enhanced, waterproof, and vapor-permeable special primer used on exterior surfaces. It acts as a bridge between the paint and the surface. It is applied as the first primer on plaster, brick, and similar surfaces, preparing a solid base for subsequent topcoat applications.

APPLICATION AREAS

Exterior silicone paint primer can be used on plaster, concrete, aerated concrete, brick, betopan, pumice, plasterboard, old painted surfaces.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Cleaning:
Dust, dirt, and grease residues on the surface are cleaned by washing with water and soap. The washing process can be done with a brush or roller. The surface is thoroughly rinsed and left to dry.
Repair if Necessary:
Cracks and holes on the surface are filled with putty. Peeling or blistered paint is scraped off. Loose plaster is removed and repaired.
Sanding:
Rough surfaces are sanded with sandpaper. This process ensures better adhesion of the primer to the surface.

APPLICATION TYPE

• You can apply the primer with a brush, roller, or spray.
• If using a brush or roller, apply the primer evenly to distribute it uniformly on the surface.
• If using a spray, ensure the primer is sprayed evenly onto the surface.
• Apply the primer in a single coat.
• Allow the primer to dry.

WARNINGS

• Take necessary safety precautions such as wearing gloves, a mask, and goggles during primer application.
• Apply the primer in a well-ventilated area.
• Store the primer out of reach of children and pets.
• If applying outdoors, check the weather conditions before starting. Avoid applying primer in rainy or humid weather.
• Clean brushes and rollers with water during and after primer application.
• Avoid inhaling primer fumes.
• Apply the primer in a well-ventilated area.
• If possible, keep windows and doors open during primer application.
• Avoid direct contact with the primer on your skin. In case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water.
• Wash your hands with soap and water after applying the primer.
• Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
