Cleaning: The surface must be free from dust, dirt, oil, and other contaminants. All contaminants on the surface should be removed using compressed air, a brush, a broom, or suitable cleaning materials.
Surface Smoothing: If the surface is rough or uneven, a correction and smoothing process should be performed. This step ensures that the repair mortar adheres properly.
Moisture Control: The moisture content of the surface must be checked. Generally, the surface should be below a certain moisture level before the repair mortar is applied. Excessive moisture can affect the mortar’s adhesion properties.
Primer Application: In cases where the surface is absorbent, a primer should be applied. The primer ensures better adhesion of the mortar to the surface and helps achieve a homogeneous finish.
No Wet Surface: Care must be taken to ensure that the surface is not wet before applying the repair mortar. Wet surfaces can negatively affect the mortar’s ability to adhere.

25 kg Pratech®RP90T Repair Mortar should be slowly poured into approximately 4.75 liters of water and mixed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Mixing should be done with a low speed mixer (400 – 600 rpm) for 3-4 minutes until a homogeneous and lump-free mixture is obtained. Do not add any additives not specified in the application instructions. The prepared mortar should be allowed to rest for 3-4 minutes for maturation and after mixing again for 30 seconds, the application can be started.

Protect your skin, eyes and respiratory system when working with mortar. When mixing mortar, use a low speed mixer to minimize dust formation. When preparing mortar indoors, ensure adequate ventilation or use a respiratory mask. Use clean and dry containers for mixing the mortar. Do not add any foreign matter to the mortar. Do not apply mortar in extremely hot or cold weather.
