Basements and Moisture-Prone Areas: Water leaks can lead to mold and mildew growth in basements, negatively affecting indoor air quality and health. By applying WATERPROOF®BK200 to basement surfaces, water infiltration is prevented, ensuring basement waterproofing and protecting the structure’s integrity.
Reinforced Concrete Walls: Water leaks can cause structural deterioration and reduce durability. WATERPROOF®UV is applied to reinforced concrete walls to prevent water penetration, preserving the strength and integrity of the structure.
Reinforced Concrete Columns and Beams: These are essential load-bearing elements in buildings, ensuring stability and structural safety. Water infiltration can lead to corrosion, reducing their durability and safety. WATERPROOF®BK200 is applied to reinforced concrete columns and beams to prevent water penetration, maintaining the structure’s longevity and security.
Roofs and Terraces: One of the most commonly used materials for waterproofing roofs and terraces.

Asphalt Roads and Pavement Waterproofing: Waterproofing on asphalt roads and pavements is necessary to prevent water leaks that can damage the asphalt and cause internal structural moisture issues. WATERPROOF® effectively prevents water seepage in asphalt roads and pavements.

• Cleaning: The surface to be treated must be clean and free of dust. Dust, dirt, oil, paint, and other contaminants can prevent the material from adhering properly. The surface should be cleaned by sweeping, brushing, or vacuuming.
• Removal of Old Coatings and Weak Layers: If the surface has old waterproofing materials, paint, or other coatings, they must be completely removed. The presence of weak or loose layers can hinder effective adhesion of the material.
• Correction and Filling: If there are cracks, holes, or other irregularities on the surface, they should be corrected using a suitable repair material or filler. A smooth surface ensures the uniform application of the waterproofing material.
• Moisture Control: The moisture content of the surface should be checked. Waterproofing materials should not be applied to damp surfaces. The surface must be within specific moisture content limits before application.
• Surface Water Absorption: If the application surface is concrete, it is important to check its water content. The concrete should be sufficiently dry; otherwise, the adhesion performance of the waterproofing material may be negatively affected.
• Primer Application (Optional): In some cases, a primer may be applied to the surface. The primer helps improve adhesion, seal rough surfaces, and control the surface’s water absorption capacity.
• Pre-Application Test: After surface preparation is complete, a small test application can be performed before applying the waterproofing material. This test ensures proper adhesion and suitability of the material.

For each coat, 8 Kg. of powder component should be added slowly to 24 Kg. of liquid component and mixed with a low speed mixer for about 2-3 minutes until it reaches a homogeneous consistency. After resting the mixture for 2 minutes, it should be mixed again before application. The gaps and pits on the surface should be filled with Sunem repair mortar. Apply with a brush or suitable spraying equipment at a thickness of 2-5 mm. Each coat should be applied in a direction perpendicular to the previous one. It can be applied more depending on the absorbency and roughness of the surface and the water pressure to which the waterproofing layer will be exposed. If 2-coat application is to be made, the first coat should be allowed to cure and the application of the other coat should be started later. It is recommended to use 50-100 gr m 2 with fibrocam or mesh in order to increase its mechanical properties in horizontal vertical joints in large areas and to bridge cracks. The prepared mixture should be consumed within 1-2 hours depending on the air temperature. The specified times are valid at 20 °C surface and ambient temperature, at low temperatures the time is prolonged, at high temperatures the time is shortened. Floors to be walked on should be covered with a topcoat such as screed ceramic etc. After application, flex ceramic adhesive should be used for ceramic coatings and flex granite adhesive should be used for granite coatings. Check that there is a slope screed (min. 5%) on horizontal surfaces.

• It is recommended to wear flat rubber-soled shoes during application.
• The temperature of the application surface should be between 5°C and 35°C. At lower temperatures, the drying time of the material may be extended. At higher temperatures, the drying time may shorten, potentially reducing the material’s performance.
• After application is completed, the material should be allowed to dry for at least 24 hours. During this period, the material should not come into contact with water.
