Smoothness Check: The smoothness of the surface should be checked. If there are cracks, dents, or other irregularities on the surface, they should be corrected beforehand. If necessary, corrective filler materials can be used.
Use of Primer for Absorbent Surfaces: If the surface to be applied has an absorbent structure, using a primer may be necessary. The primer reduces the absorbency of the surface, ensuring the adhesive spreads uniformly and increases the bond strength.
Plumbing and Electrical System Check: If there are plumbing or electrical systems underneath the area to be applied, they should be checked, and protective measures should be taken if necessary.
Checking the Moisture Content of the Surface: The moisture content of the surface should be checked. A surface that is too moist or too dry can prevent the adhesive from working effectively. If necessary, moisture levels should be checked using moisture measurement devices.
Wet the Surface Before Adhesive Application: Especially on absorbent surfaces, the surface may need to be slightly wet before applying the adhesive. This helps the adhesive spread uniformly and increases the bonding strength.

• Approximately 6.00 / 6.50 liters of water should be added to 25 kg of powder and mixed thoroughly with a low-speed mixer until there are no lumps. (Granite adhesive mortar used outdoors should be less liquid compared to the one used indoors. This ensures the mortar has better flexibility.)
• After the mortar is allowed to mature for approximately 5 minutes, it should be mixed again for 1-2 minutes before application.
• The mortar should be applied to the surface and its thickness should be adjusted using a notched steel trowel. The size of the trowel’s notch should be determined according to the size of the granite to be laid and the smoothness of the surface to be applied.
• The adhesive is spread on the surface with a trowel. The adhesive should be spread evenly on the surface. The thickness of the adhesive depends on the size of the covering material. For smaller covering materials, an adhesive thickness of 3-5 mm should be applied, and for larger materials, an adhesive thickness of 5-10 mm should be applied.
• The covering materials should be placed on the adhesive. The covering materials should be carefully placed on the adhesive. Once the covering materials are properly positioned, they should be lightly tapped to secure them in place. For a strong bond, force should be applied using a rubber mallet to expel the air.
• The covering materials should be moistened with water for 24 hours. This process ensures that the covering materials and the adhesive fully cure.
