Crystallized Liquid Concrete Admixture

It is a liquid crystallized concrete admixture that provides structural waterproofing by forming crystals within the concrete mass. By reacting with the chemicals present in the concrete, it generates crystals that seal microcracks and capillary voids, making the concrete impermeable to water and becoming an integral part of the concrete structure. Since the resulting waterproofing is mass-based, it is unaffected by surface damage, impacts, or mechanical wear. In addition to ensuring waterproofing, it also enhances the mechanical properties of the concrete and increases its resistance to chemicals. It contains no chlorides, has no corrosive effects, and protects reinforcement steel.

APPLICATION METHOD

Shaking the Liquid in the Container: Before starting the application, it is important to shake the liquid in the container thoroughly. This process ensures the liquid becomes homogeneous and its components are evenly distributed. Shaking can be done by vigorously shaking the container for a few minutes or using a mixer.
Control of Water/Cement Ratio: For the crystallized liquid concrete additive to be effective, the water/cement ratio of the concrete to be used should not exceed 0.55. The water/cement ratio refers to the amount of water relative to cement in the concrete. The lower this ratio, the more durable and waterproof the concrete will be. To control this ratio, the concrete mix recipe and the amounts of materials used should be reviewed.
Additive Dosage: The crystallized liquid concrete additive is added at 2% of the cement weight in the concrete. This ratio ensures that a sufficient amount of additive is added to achieve the desired waterproofing and durability properties. To set the dosage correctly, the amount of concrete and cement weight should be calculated and the necessary additive quantity determined accordingly.
Mixing Procedure:
On-site application: The additive is added to the ready-to-pour concrete at 2% of the cement weight. The mixture is stirred without delay for about 5 minutes. Mixing continues until the mixture is homogeneous and all components are evenly distributed.
Concrete plant application: The additive is added into the concrete mixing water. This mixture is added as the last component to the concrete. Mixing continues until the mixture is homogeneous and all components are evenly distributed.
Working Time: The working time of the crystallized liquid concrete additive is approximately 45 minutes after being added to the mix. Within this period, the concrete should be poured and processed. Exceeding the working time may reduce the additive’s effectiveness and prevent achieving the desired results.

WARNINGS

• Use necessary safety precautions such as gloves, mask, and goggles during application.
• Allow the concrete to complete its curing time.
• Test the waterproofness of the concrete.
• Use the correct dosage. Dosage should be adjusted according to the water/cement ratio in the concrete and the desired waterproofing level.
• Ensure the concrete is fresh and homogeneous.
• Pay attention to weather conditions during application. Should not be used in environments with risk of freezing.
